Fighting bookmakers: Khabib Nurmagomedov

"We have plenty of good sponsors that we work with and put on events with," Nurmagomedov said when asked why Eagle FC does not collaborate with bookmakers. Bookmakers are unnecessary.

Gambling, in my opinion, is far more harmful than drinking. Promoting gambling more than drinking is, in my opinion, a bad idea. All families are ruined by bookmakers. Just how many young men visit such sites, spend enough time there, and develop an addiction?

It brings destruction to entire families. The power of gambling's addiction is well known to you. Addiction to drugs is analogous. Putting an ad for drugs here would have the same effect. When it comes to me, gambling and drug addiction are on par.

The UFC Hall of Famer went on to say that sports are Eagle FC's sole focus, and that the team pays close attention to its viewers.

"We are careful with the content we deliver to our customers," he stated. "Sport is the one thing we advocate for.

I would prefer that our viewers not see advertisements for alcoholic beverages or gambling sites. I place a high value on it. I don't want someone to get addicted to bookmakers after discovering them through Eagle FC.

Nurmagomedov's views are in line with those of Tyson Fury, a two-time world heavyweight champion boxer, who stated in February 2022 that he would never endorse advertising or relationships with the gaming business.

The affiliate Freebets.com designated his father, John, as a Brand Ambassador in March, though. Although Tyson made his remarks regarding gambling three years prior to ICE London, he was a Brand Ambassador for SBTech, a supplier of business-to-business gambling solutions.
